Instructor: Sasha Baskin
Course Description: Learn how to create images and portraits with two-toned tulle. Working with light and dark thread, each stitch is an opportunity for two light threads or two dark threads to cross and create a light or dark pixel. At the end of the workshop students will have a monochrome image and an understanding of how to design their own images and patterns for two-tone tulle. Expect to work with lots of bobbins and to learn a lot about bobbin management and working on the diagonal! Intermediate experience recommended as well as familiarity with the tulle stitch. This technique was developed by Pierre Fouche, and is published online as a self-paced course on wwwpatreon.com/theadventurouslacemakers.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Prerequisite: Preferably some experience with “tulle” ground worked open: twist-twist-twist-cross-pin. (Or at least with the closed cross-twist-twist-twist-pin ground and a readiness to switch it in your head.)
