Course Description: This Swimathon motif was designed for the 2025 fundraising as a small motif that would fit in a coaster. It is an ideal small piece of Bedfordshire lace to try experimenting with a different colored worker, in either a solid color, variegated or a metallic thread. It also incorporates sequins. The samples were worked with white Finca 60 thread and a Madeira Metallic 40 thread for a worker. The color can just be used on the two long waves (the blue sample) or for the small splashes as well (silver sample). Take the first steps in using and experimenting with color.

Skill Level: Continuing Beginner, Intermediate

Prerequisite: Several lessons in Bedfordshire, ready to try floral Beds (adding and subtracting pairs).

Students Must Provide: Finca 60 thread or equivalent (38 wpc), approximately 50 pairs of bobbins. Wind a lot on one bobbin of each pair to allow quick rewinding after throwing out for adding back in. Madeira Metallic 40 thread for some or all workers.
