Optional Kit for Marathon Session 3: Sunburst

This is the optional kit for the Marathon Session 3.

Marathon Session 3: Sunburst (Traditional Carrickmacross Lace) - Theresa Kelly

Level: Beginner, no experience necessary

This introductory class uses the classic technique of appliquéing organdie and netting together by outlining the design with crochet thread (couching stitch). Guipure bars, pops (buttonhole stitch), Catherine wheel and our characteristic looped edge further embellish the work. The excess organdie is then cut away revealing the design.

Kit Description: Kit includes tracing paper, organza and netting. Students must trace pattern and also supply thread and needles. Details will be emailed with all class materials.

Note: Kits will be available while supplies last, but those ordered after 9 June may not arrive until after the marathon.
