Kit for Carrickmacross Fuchsia

This is the kit for the Carrickmacross Fuchsia workshop.

Instructor: Theresa Kelly

Course Description: Theresa has created an original Carrickmacross Lace fuchsia design, a popular motif in Irish laces, for this workshop. It is designed for beginners but also will appeal to the intermediate lace maker. Theresa will lead you through the traditional technique of appliqué, guipure, loops and pops.

• Pre-work with video instruction - Laying down the pattern, tacking
• Day 1 - Appliqué
• Day 2 - Guipure work
• Day 3 - Loop edging, filling stitches
• Day 4 - Cutting out excess organdy, making pops

Kit Description: The kit contains the pattern, netting and organdy.

Students Must Provide: Sewing needle size 9, 10 or 11; White 50, Mercerized cotton sewing thread; White Crochet Cotton 60; scissors; basic sewing thread for tacking; good light
