Kit for A Taste of Buttons

This is the kit for the  A Taste of Buttons workshop.

Course Description: Are you intrigued by some of the amazing thread buttons that pop up in Pinterest? A reenactor needing historical buttons? Take a taste of thread button making to see what it’s all about. In this three-session class we will discuss button history and create several beautiful examples. We will focus on Zwirnknöpfe, Dorset buttons, and finally thread-wrapped buttons. By then you might have joined the ranks of people hooked on button making.

Skill Level: Beginner

Dates: 3 Thursdays - October 9, 16, 23, 2025

Time: 9:00 am – 12 noon PDT

Kit Description: The kit includes rings and wooden molds, needle, beeswax and instructions.

Students Must Provide: About 5 colors of #10 crochet cotton/Lizbeth and/or #5 pearl cotton, scissors, pencil
