Kit for Bedfordshire Christmas Baubles 2024

This kit accompanies the Bedfordshire Christmas Baubles 2024 workshop.

Course Description: This class will cover three different baubles - first a Christmas tree, second a large round bauble and finally an elongated bauble in Bedfordshire lace. (The third one might be left for homework.) In addition to traditional techniques, adding in and throwing out of pairs, leaf tallies, trails etc., they also incorporate the use of sequins and Delica beads or small seed beads for the added Christmas sparkle. Threads used in the examples are Finca 60 thread, with optional DMC Diamant metallic thread and Madeira Metallic no 40 on the Christmas tree, with optional tiny seed beads or Delica beads. 4mm Sequins are used on the other two baubles.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Basic Bedfordshire techniques, including adding and throwing out pairs, and handling many bobbins on the pillow

Kit Description: The kit is a laser-cut, ready-to-work pricking with the pattern sheet, photographs and some instructions.

Students Must Provide: Threads are listed in the description and details will be sent before class. Up to 70 pairs of bobbins are needed.
